The Sudanese-American musical powerhouse Dua Saleh continues their impressive journey with a profound new artistic statement. This Friday, the new album Dua Saleh Of Earth & Wires arrives via the renowned label Ghostly International. This work serves as a spiritual successor to the 2024 debut „I SHOULD CALL THEM,“ which received widespread critical acclaim. Saleh creates sonic worlds that skillfully deconstruct indie, R&B, and electronic pop while honoring deep cultural roots. Sudanese folk music influences blend seamlessly with modern UK dance rhythms and Baile Funk throughout the record. The album Dua Saleh Of Earth & Wires follows two queer lovers through a post-apocalyptic scenery marked by natural disasters and conflict. Saleh masterfully combines ambitious production with sharp, precise lyrics to tell this urgent story.

Creative Synergies and High-Profile Collaborations

The list of contributors to this project is particularly remarkable and diverse. Grammy winner Justin Vernon, better known as Bon Iver, contributed essential beats and vocals to the record. The chemistry between Vernon and Saleh shines brightly in tracks like „Flood“ and the soulful „Glow“. Executive produced by Billy Lemos, who has worked with stars like SZA, the album feels cohesive yet experimental. Saleh emphasizes that the sessions in Minnesota began without fixed expectations, giving the sound an instinctive freshness. In tracks like „I Do, I Do,“ Saleh also integrates traditional oud playing by Malek Vossough. This duality of warm human arrangements and synthetic distortion creates a fragile tension throughout the entire work.

The Focus Single „Firestorm“ and Global Tour

At the center of the current release stands the outstanding focus single „Firestorm.“ Saleh wrote the song while reflecting on the devastating wildfires that hit Los Angeles in January 2025. The track functions as a love song born from the collective heartbreak of a city in flames. Musically, the Trans Chorus of Los Angeles supports the softest tones of Saleh’s voice over a Vernon beat. Alongside the new video release, Saleh also announces the accompanying international tour dates. In July 2026, the „Of Earth & Wires“ tour will stop for an exclusive performance in Berlin. Fans can expect a live performance that brings the duality of connection and alienation to the stage. Dua Saleh proves once again why they remain one of the most exciting pop artists of our time.
