New single „seule dans la foule“ and the concept behind „la forteresse“
In „seule dans la foule“ („Alone in the crowd“), Pomme explores themes of belonging, identity, and the desire to carve out an independent path away from societal expectations. The song employs forests and wilderness as central metaphors for lives unmoored from conventional norms such as traditional family models or settling in one place. At the same time, it reflects her commitment to remaining artistically uncompromising despite the commercial pressures of the music industry.
Initial ideas for the single came together in the studio of producer Aaron Dessner (The National). The collaborative experience encouraged Pomme to take full creative control and produce „la forteresse“ („The Fortress“) herself. The album title represents a place that offers shelter while simultaneously acting as a cage. Visually and thematic inspiration stems from her research for the musical adaptation of „Peau d’homme,“ medieval iconography, the paintings of Hieronymus Bosch, and the cinematic worlds of Hayao Miyazaki.
Achievements and upcoming international live dates
Pomme has established herself as one of the defining voices in contemporary francophone music. She achieved global recognition in 2024 through „Ma Meilleure Ennemie,“ her collaboration with Stromae for Netflix’s „Arcane,“ which accumulated hundreds of millions of streams. Beyond music, the multidisciplinary artist actively advocates for LGBTQ+ visibility, feminism, and environmental issues.
Having built a strong global fanbase through extensive touring across Europe, North America, and Latin America, Pomme continues to expand her international presence. She will perform at the PEOPLE Festival in Berlin in October 2026, ahead of her upcoming international headline tour in April 2027.
